No, Tahj is not the dad in “Baby Daddy” on ABC Family, but he does play one of the best friends and finds himself “in charge” of the baby in this cute new series (think younger, less experienced 3 Men and a Baby) with an overbearing mother and three guys trying to do the right thing while being three young, single guys.
Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report Executive Producer, Stephanie Piche, were invited to speak with Tahj Mowry about his role in the hit new ABC Family TV show “Baby Daddy,” and we had a great conversation with him, even had some interesting things in common with Tahj too.
You might remember seeing Tahj from his earlier roles on “Who’s the Boss” and “Full House” where he was the cutest little guy ever. (Yes, I said that). But did you know he’s an accomplished singer and dancer (find out what he’s gonna do soon in our interview) and is the brother of twin sisters, Tia and Tamera, who starred in the hit comedy series, Sister, Sister. (Find out who picked on who in the family in our interview).
One of the fun parts of working on set with a baby is that the baby runs things, you gotta be on your game when it’s time to do your takes with the baby (also twins) because you only have a couple of hours and if the baby ain’t happy – no body’s happy. Tahj was a ringer of sorts as he’s been around his year old nephew and has had more experience in holding a baby than the other cast members.
The physical and emotional comedy/real-life moments, makes me, a mom, smile as I think of my son in this predicament maybe not the daddy but one of the guys trying to help his friend out. I’ve seen my son with little ones, and for the most part, he is gentle and kind and I don’t cringe too much when watching him in real-life – something that ABC has done here – given us a little angst but with a bright light on and a good laugh.
Our Interview with Tahj
Yes, Tahj has quite a resume being on Friends, Sister, Sister, Disney’s animated series, Aladdin and The Lion King, Desperate Housewives, The Game and The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody. But he’s also a college student and even played college football.
