Yesterday, we were attending the FYC Emmys event put on by Deadline Hollywood and were waiting for Rashida Jones to come out with Ira Ungerleider but he informed the audience that she was frozen in a block of ice until the premiere on Monday, April 10th…
Why, why, why?
Detective Tribeca came up with the idea of freezing herself as part of a big announcement months ago…
Detective Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones) has stood frozen in this block of ice for the past two months waiting for the premiere tonight… but first she will make a special announcement about the TBS series that bears her name today at 1 p.m. ET, Tribeca will finally be thawed out, hopefully alive, during a 30-minute (or more) Facebook Live event, facebook.com/TribecaTBS after which she will make her shocking revelation.
Watch the defrosting here on this embedded Facebook video:
Help from the Squad…
Tribeca’s colleagues from Lt. Pritikin “Chet” Atkins (Jere Burns), Detective “DJ” Tanner (Deon Cole) & Detective David Hoffman (Jagger) and her favorite medical examiner, Dr. Monica Scholls (Andrée Vermeulen) will there to make sure she thaws out… not sure about them using blow torches, axes and other tools, but you can watch to see how it goes…
Oh and… TBS Disclaimer: Any similarities to melting-ice stunts presented on Facebook Live by other cable networks are purely coincidental. If “coincidental” means “copying”.

Angie Tribeca returns Monday, April 10, at 10:30/9:30c, exclusively on TBS
ABOUT Angie Tribeca
TBS’s first-ever police procedural, Angie Tribeca is the brainchild of Nancy and Steve Carell, who are executive-producing the series along with showrunner Ira Ungerleider.
Season 3 cast includes Rashida Jones, Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole, Andrée Vermeulen and Jagger.
Lone-wolf detective Angie Tribeca and a squad of committed LAPD detectives investigate the most serious cases, from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.
In season three, Angie Tribeca makes television history by going where few shows dare to go: a third season. In pursuit of an animal rights activist turned serial killer, Tribeca (Jones), Geils (MacArthur) and Tanner (Cole) travel outside of their jurisdiction to New Orleans, New York, Miami, outer space and Universal Studios Hollywood. The season begins with the first episode and ends with the climactic last episode, barely stopping for episodes two through nine. If you liked Angie Tribeca’s second season, you may or may not like the third season, which tackles issues such as dating again after divorce (Burns’ Lieutenant Atkins), gambling addiction (Vermeulen’s Dr. Scholls) and adjusting to life after amputation by a faulty hay baler (no one). One thing’s for sure: Angie Tribeca’s third season is shaping up to be among the top three seasons of the show so far.
